“If you think Mick Jagger will be out there trying to be a rock star at age 50, you are sadly, sadly mistaken.”
- Jimmy Fallon as "Dennis Hope" in the film Almost Famous.
Well, Mick'll turn 70 a few weeks after the upcoming 2013 tour finishes its first leg (followed by Keith this winter and Charlie, who'll turn 72 in summer). He said in a press release that “’50 AND COUNTING’ has been pretty amazing so far." The tour will kick off next month at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, though the date isn't confirmed yet (due to NBA and NHL playoff final schedules). An exciting guest appearance from the guitarist Keith has claimed to be the best lead guitarist the Stones ever had (evidenced by Sticky Fingers & Exile On Main Street) - Mick Taylor.
Tickets for Oakland, San Jose, Toronto & Chicago dates go on sale Monday, April 8 at 10 am local time via Rollingstones.com and range from $85 - $650. Pick up Rolling Stones merch & memorabilia here.
